Sorry these HHH posts were a little late... migraines happen all the time, but the really bad ones are seldom. This was the bad summer one. (It happens in July without fail.)

Unity Hip hop challenge: Make a card or project using Unity stamps that has at least one line image (not solid) that is not colored in or paper pieced - stamp it and leave it alone.

I'm not sure if I did this right. But this is what I came up with. :)

Not sure what happened here!

I'm not sure why, but I have such a hard time photographing shades of purple. I made a card the other night because I was tempting at buying more stamps. Ugh! I have a ton!! So, I'm starting to do one or two things: put the images on Wish RAK and/or go make a card with a stamp I haven't used in a very long time. Some of my stamps are so old and dusty that they are like new when I use them LOL!

Stamps: Live Your Dream, Warm Words, & Favorite Things (Stampin' Up)
Paper: white, almost amethyst, unknown DP
Ink: certainly celery, almost amethyst, lovely lilac markers
Accessories: SU circle & modern label punches, MS picket fence edge punch, Top Note die, organza ribbon, brads, pop-up dots

It's the card that couldn't...

.... stop! I just wasn't happy with this card. It didn't turn out anything like I thought it would. Every time I thought I was done, I was more annoyed and had to add something else to "fix it". Before I knew it, it felt like it weighed 10 pounds! LOL!

Since I was very self conscience about it, I messaged some great stampers on SCS for their opinions. The responses I received were positive. But I received responses from two stampers that were interesting. Basically these stampers told me that since I've been doing so many CAS cards lately that I was out of my comfort zone with all the layers and embellishments. What do you think?

I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #96 again.

Stamps: All DRS Designs
Paper: white, black, real red DSP, bashful blue DSP
Ink: black, bashful blue
Accessories: SU markers, brads, eyelets, rhinestone brad, ribbons, SU modern label punch, photo corner & circle punches, Marvy scallop circle & flower punches, MS branch punch, pop-up dots

This card measures 4.25 square. I use 4.5 A Muse envelopes.

Happy Mail

Look what came in the mail this week! This gorgeous bookmark is from Susan (LateBlossom). Isn't she sweet? It's already in one of the books I'm reading. Yes, I read many books "at the same time." I love fiction and non-fiction. Mystery and Christian romance. Contemporary and historical. Adult and children's books. I don't like to put books on the shelves in my classroom for my students unless I've read or at least skimmed it.

One book stays in my purse at all times. I never know how long I'll have to wait in a waiting room. (My family has a lot of doctor's appointments.) And I have to have a different one for silent reading time at school, of course. And at last, there are the books I read at home.

These are the books that I'm currently reading.
