Instead of making a card today, I made a scrapbook page. I am way behind in my scrapbooking! Since it's so difficult for me to capture detail on a 12x12 page, I have included close-up shots, too.

Christmas Blessings

It's crazy that Christmas has come and gone already! We had a white Christmas here. Hubby received an early gift last week... an epidural of steroids for his Spondolitis. He has 2 more rounds of shots. We weren't expecting to see any improvement until after the third round... but WOW! He is walking so much better and he can stand pain-free for over 5 minutes. It's truly a blessing.

I have a couple of Christmas photos and some holiday bookmarks I made for people who work with my son on a daily basis.

These bookmarks were made using Gina K. Designs stamps: Funky Christmas (Gina K.) and Warm and Wonderful (Rupa Shevde)

This is my son with his favorite gift on Christmas morning. Mom did great this year! Normally hubby does the shopping since he knows all the cool video games. So yeah, I'm proud of myself. LOL!

So, what is he reading that is so fascinating? It's an Eyewitness book titled, Robots!

Isn't my niece the most adorable 3 year-old!?!

she ran into the family room and flew into my arms for a hug.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

It's been awhile since I've been on my blog. But I have lots of cards to post.
It's definitely starting to look like Christmas in my craft room.

Stamp TV Hostess Thank You Blog Hop

Tonight we are having a special blog hop
to thank our recently retired StampTV Challenge Hostess Team members:

These 5 designers have provided StampTV with a challenge each week
during the months of
June, July and August.

We have a special StampTV Challenge Magazine Volume 3* located on the Freebie Tab, where all of their challenges are shared in a download PDF that you can save to your computer and print out at your leisure!

Please join in our Thank You Discussion on Stamp TV and feel free to play along
and say thank you with your own take on one of their challenges!!

The challenge I chose for this hop is
a
Christmas challenge hostessed by Giovanna...

"Show me your Christmas style"

I love to make detailed and embellished one-of-a-kind Christmas cards, but when it gets closer to the holiday season and it's actually time to get them in the mailbox, mass production to finish enough of them is a must. I love the clean & simple style (no big surprise there :) and using it with Christmas images can make a very elegant creation with minimal ink, products, and time.

Are these Christmas scraps?

Wow! I can't remember the last time I've had time to do the Limited Supply Challenge on SCS. Once I realized I had everything I needed, this became exciting! Here's Dawn's challenge:

Your challenge today is to look through the scraps of the last day or two...and come up with a card using:

1. an image from a greeting card
2. a scrap of wrapping paper
3. a ribbon or bow or fixing from a gift

1. I cut the trees from a greeting card.
2. The green paper with the snowflakes is wrapping paper.
3. My wrapping wasn't on the outside package (gift bag), it was around the gift itself... this adorable fleece throw blanket. My DH gets me something with snowmen every year :) Anyway, I used the stretchy ribbon that held the blanket all rolled up. It also had a tag... the green striped square. The "To:" and "From:" are on the other side.

Other supplies: The sentiment is stamped in bashful blue ink with a SU image (Warmest Regards, I think). The blue snowflake dp is possibly from DCWV. Then I punched the snowflake from lavendar lace CS with a Martha Stewart punch and added a rhinestone sticker. (I had to cover up the hole on the tag!)

Merry Christmas!

I had to post one last Christmas card on Christmas Day... to wish you the merriest holiday ever! Jesus is the reason for the season, so if it isn't the merriest, turn to Him!

This was one of the 4 cards I made for this week's CAS challenge: a sketch inspired by ltecler! You can see her adorable card here.

All stamps from DRS Designs: simple decorated tree (H010), Merry Christmas arc (E102), Swirling Snowflakes (F168), Holly Giga Circle (L120)
Paper: regal rose, white
Ink: Palette burnt umber, regal rose, Copic markers, apricot appeal (for sponging)
Accessories: pretty in pink taffeta ribbon, white gel pen, CM custom cutting system, Marvy mega scallop circle punch

This card measures 4.25 square. I use 4.5 A Muse envelopes.

I want to wish you a Merry Christmas...

I think I got this card submitted just in the knick of time! This card was made for the sketch challenge on Stamp TV. I thought of what to make while shopping this evening and hearing the Christmas song, "Feliz Navidad". It made me think of this set with the multiple languages BG. It took me forever to edit because the camera was focused on the big bow and it blurred the BG.

Stamps: Vintage Borders (Gina K. Designs)
Paper & Ink: creamy caramel, real red chocolate chip
Accessories: satin ribbon, CM custom cutting system

Season's Greetings, Frosty

SCS Featured Stamper: pam124

I love Pam's Gallery and I could CASE her all day long! I wish I had more time. Thank you Pam for helping me to get my Christmas cards done.

* Same them and layout.
* The Top Note is the same, but I used a circle punch instead of the SU ornament punch... wish I had that cool punch!
* I used a stamped image instead of a punched snowflake and moved the sentiment because my card is an A2 card instead of a square card.

Here's Pam's beautiful card: A Very Merry Quilted Christmas

Stamps: Frosty, Snow Swirled (Stampin' Up!)
Paper: cranberry crisp, brocade blue, white, Glittered Winter dsp (DCWV), unknow green polka-dotted dp
Ink: black, Copic markers, black marker
Accessories: Top Note die (Wish RAK), circle punch & CM custom cutting system, eyelet, ribbon

Here are some more of Pam's cards that I wish I had time to CASE!

Christmas Kittens

SCS Sketch Challenge #258

I just love this Christmas image! I can't wait to see what mess are new kitten makes. (Well, she's about 6 months old now and a little tamer... just a little LOL!) The polka-dots were made with a white gel pen. I don't have a Top Note die. I received some from generous people in the Wish RAK forum! Tracing and cutting the dp and white layer is not easy!!! But I think the end results look pretty good!

Stamp: Christmas kittens (High Hopes)
Paper: real red, real red dsp, white, unknown Christmas dp (unknown)
Ink: black, black marker for the noses, SU red marker for the bows, Copic markers: R29 Lipstick Red, YR31 light reddish yellow, YG13 Chartreuse, W2 warm gray, E31 brick beige, E71 Champagne
Accessories: Martha Stewart bow punch, white gel pen, Top Note die cut, pop-up dots
