Once again, I'm playing catch-up with my SCS viewing! The gallery is so fun!
Where have I been? Working! I've been wearing a pedometer at work for a contest I won't win. But it's fun and I'm using it with my kids as a lesson. Huh??? Well, my kiddies don't understand yet why they need to use a planner, why they need to monitor their grades and ask "why", and why they need to make goals. So they are monitoring ME!!! I started with making goals... both long term and short term. They love asking my why my numbers went up or down. They're asking me questions that they can ask themselves. After two weeks, I'm truly seeing a difference!
Why am I writing about this? This will explain how busy I've been this week. I usually get between 6,000-7,oo0 steps a day. (Remember I'm still recovering from the flu and my surgical procedure on my head.) I was so busy with helping students with tests, yesterday, that I took almost 15,000 steps at the end of the work day!!! Whoa!
So, it's Saturday and I'm taking the day to view the gallery, link faves to my blog, and make cards. The Inspiration challenge on SCS is awesome. I'm having a hard time deciding what to use on my card.
Oh! One more thing... I have the best mother-in-law! She came from out of state to see her son. (He's making progress with his new physical disorder.) Anyway, she cleaned my house!!! I couldn't believe it when I walked in Friday afternoon.
This is not a complete list. I will be updating it throughout the weekend. Hopefully, you'll understnad why I'm only linking them and not always commenting. I need time to make cards, too {wink}. Some of these ladies uploaded more cards this week. You'll want to check out their galleries!!

Happy New Year
This adorable Snowman card was made using the sketch on the Midnight Madness site. Sketch #20 had more layers, but I couldn't figure out how to get them on this card. I wanted a tall thin image, but apparently it was too tall!!
All DRS Designs Stamps:
* Stretch the Round Button Snowman (H1129)
* The New Year sentiment is actually a part of a larger greeting - Holiday Wish to Bring Cheer Greeting (G944)
* Snowflake ribbon slide (D932)
* Then pumpkin snowflakes were stamped using the 4 in 1 snowflakes background stamp and then punched with a 1/2 inch circle punch. (D096)
Paper: pumpkin pie, white, SU-SAB designer paper
Ink: black, bashful blue, pumpkin pie, Copic markers
Accessories: ribbon, circle punch

CAS Sketch using DRS Designs
I made this card using the SCS Clean & Simple sketch challenge. It's based on this great card made by cookiebaker. I reversed the images so that my canceled stamp image was facing the correct direction. The 25 was written with a ruby red marker.
All DRS Designs Stamps:
Postage Cancellation (F1108), Silhouette Holly (F002), sentiment (B364)
Paper: white, black, riding hood red dsp, garden green
Ink: ruby red & garden green markers, black
Accessories: wild wasabi ribbon, dimensionals

CAS Sketch using Stampin' Up!
Here's another card using this week's SCS CAS sketch challenge. The challenge is based on this great card made by cookiebaker.
All SU Stamps: Scary Skeleton, Batty for You
Paper: black, white, only orange, CM patterned paper
Ink: black
Accessories: ribbon, circle punches, Martha Stewart web punch, dimensionals
Labels:

Not-So-CAS Sketch Challenge using Unity
I'm totally in love with my new Unity September KOTM stamps! This card just kinda came together. I'm not a huge fan of suede, but I really like it on here. I'm shocked at myself for the lack of white on this card. I still find it to be pretty simple though.
Stamps: Unity September KOTM ‘09
Paper: white, sage shadow, soft suede dsp
Ink: soft suede
Accessories: EP, word window punch, eyelet, organdy ribbon, dimensionals

The Most Wonderful Day of the Year
I spent way too much time on this poor little card. When I started, I thought I was going to make a cute little CAS card like this week's Featured Stamper: tankgrl.
As you see, it's not CAS. I once again kept making mistakes and covering them up. The concept of 2 ornaments, a greeting, and ribbon is the same, but all the extras make it different.
Stamps: Bright & Merry Winter Wishes - Unity, Snow Flurries - Stampin' Up!
Paper: cloce to cocoa, creamy caramel, white
Ink: Palette burnt umber, creamy caramel, pretty in pink, Copic markers, SU chocolate chip marker
Accessories: taffeta ribbon, brads, paper piercer
Techniques: sponging, paper piercer, covering up mistakes :)
