Did a little cruising...

It's been awhile since I've posted random favorites I've seen in galleries. I've been exhausted from unexpected life "things". There are not a lot of cards here, considering how little I've posted faves, but it's a start. I love the inspiration I get from everyone.

One Last Father's Day Card

I rushed too much with the coloring. I needed to fix that before I went to the family gathering. It's not good to leave a card to make at the last minute! The colors coordinate much better IRL. The inside says "... way above par!" LOL! This is perfect for my dad because he just started golfing again, and he's not doing so well, yet. The sentiment actual reads "birthday", but I changed it and used my own handwriting. Could not find my Father's Day stamp. Sigh.

Featured Stamper: Christy S

*I used the same layout and colors.
*I changed the stamped images.
*I used a scallop edge punch instead of ribbon.

Here's Christy's adorable card.

Stamps: DRS Designs
Paper: Stampin' Up
Accessories: Copic markers, SU scallop edge punch

I slightly modified a great layout on one of Presentstorm's cards here.

A Hundred Hearts

This is the card I'll be giving to my DH for Father's Day. He's my DS's step-dad, but he is the real father in every way that's important.

SCS Inspiration Challenge: Lovely Package
I chose a chocolate milk box as my inspiration.

Stamps: A Hundred Hearts (Verve)
Paper: white, creamy caramel, close to cocoa, chocolate chip
Ink: brown
Accessories: SU heart to heart punch, Michael's ribbon

Father's Day

SPEEDSTER

My Dad's "retirement job" has him in his car traveling all over the southeastern part of the state. I thought this would be a fun image for his Father's Day card.

Stamps: Hit the Road & Just So Sayings (Stampin' Up)
Paper: white, ballet blue, creamy caramel, CM patterned paper
Ink: black, brown
Accessories: Copic markers, brads, word window punch, paper piercer & mat stack, hemp, dimensionals

The Limited Supply challenge on SCS is titled: Water + Sand = Follow the List!

Your creations this week should use only colors of water (ANY shades of blues, grays and greens) and sand (ANY neutrals).

Other required elements: (use ALL)
1)ribbon, hemp/twine, OR fibers
2)brads
3)piercing

No limit on tools, techniques, or layers. You can add other embellishments if you wish, just make sure you have the required three. ANY subject matter or theme.

Over on the Rubbernecker blog, their Wacky Wednesday challenge this week was to make a Father's Day card. Since I hadn't started, it was perfect. And I still have 2 more to make!

A Sporty Father's Day

We have a sports minded family. I can't keep track of all their fantasy teams. LOL!

Stamps: Sporting Goods, Holiday Blitz, Canvas, golf bag from Great Impressions
Paper: blue bayou, soft sky, white
Ink: black, blue bayou, soft sky
Accessories: not quite navy marker, soft sky reinker, blue bayou ribbon
Techniques: sponging

I love coloring Riley! You can find a Copic blending & coloring tutorial here. I sponged the grass with wild wasabi and the sky with bashful blue. The golf ball is popped up on a dimensional. This card would also make a great retirement card.

Stamps: Sporting Goods, Golf Riley from Hannah Stamps
Paper: chocolate chip, wild wasabi DSP, white
Ink: black, chocolate chip, wild wasabi, bashful blue
Accessories: Copics, dimensional
Techniques: sponging

The baseball was made using the Creative Memories custom cutting system. I used a circle template to guide my red "stitches".

Stamps: Sporting Goods, sentiment from Great Impressions
Paper: brocade blue, close to cocoa, white
Ink: brocade blue, chocolate chip
Accessories: eyelets, red marker, gingham ribbon, CM custom cutting system, ticket corner punch
Techniques: sponging

All cardstock & ink are from Stampin' Up!
