It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

It's been awhile since I've been on my blog. But I have lots of cards to post.
It's definitely starting to look like Christmas in my craft room.

Happy Halloween!
These are cards I've made throughout the last month.

SCS Inspiration Challenge 249: Cost Plus World Market

I was instantly inspired by many things in their Halloween Headquarters. This is the image that inspired my card.

Stamps: DRS Designs
Paper: SU pumpkin pie, chocolate chip, & more mustard
Ink: Adirondack pitch black, SU chocolate chip, Copic markers
Tools & Accessories: Cuttlebug Forest Branches & Swiss Dots embossing folders, SU whisper white taffeta ribbon, pop-up dots

The embossed mustard layer is popped up.

SCS Featured Stamper 188: Die Cut Diva

Congrats Terri! I love your CAS cards and I was thrilled to see you in the DT search. I've linked a few of your cards on my blog that you can see here.

The elegant card I CASEd can be found here.

I kept the same layout. I was originally going to go with different flowers and the same elegant look, but ast this time of year, I'm trying to use my fall and Halloween stamps so they just get used. LOL! I used the same layout, moved the sentiment, changed the colors and edge punch and added a green layer so it wasn't just the standard orange and black Halloween card. I love this whispy Halloween tree from Unity.

Stamps: Hauntingly Sweet (Unity)
Paper: SU pear pizzazz, GKD sweet mango
(SU peach parfait & GKD sweet mango are an exact match in my eyes.)
Ink: Adirondack pitch black
Accessories & Tools: Martha Stewart Drippy Goo border punch, ribbon (unknown)

CAS Sketch Challenge Inspired by kstamper

Stamps: variety of retired Stampin' Up stamps
One Layer Card
Adirondack black ink
Copic markers: YR04 chrome orange, Y08 acid yellow
The "dangling" candy corn are popped up.

I was lucky to get this cool 'BOO' stamp at the Novi stamp show in August. Ya know I couldn't pass it up. LOL!

SCS Inspiration Challenge 248
I was inspired by the Boo Newsprint Plaque from Elizabeth's Embellishments. I was looking to see if I still had some newsprint dp when I ran across the pre-stamped sanded BG. It turned out to be my substitute. I may make one with real newsprint, though.

Stamps: Boo (Stamp Oasis), Sanded BG (Stampin' Up)
CS: white, black, only orange, going gray
Ink: black, gray
Accessories: Cuttlebug EF, ribbon, eyelet, Martha Stewart web & cat punches

Comparing Cardstock Colors

I made a color comparison chart for the
Stampin' Up! and Gina K. Designs cardstock.
The the new peach parfait designer paper is
combined with a lighter shade that matched
the retired blush blossom.
Go figure that it's retired!

The card in the post above is made with
peach parfait and the coordinating dsp.

Finding my mojo, again.

I can't remember the last time I stamped. I had cards made ahead of time so I think it's been about 3 weeks! That has never happened before. Life here has been really, really difficult. Today I was determined to make a card... and I made two! My craft room was a mess. So a little clean-up needed to be done. I started with reorganizing all of my paper into new SU color families and organizing my Gina K paper, too. This is what I came up with, my attempt at getting my mojo back:

You're such a blessing.

Clean & Simple 65 is a theme challenge:
Mother's Day or May Flowers

Stamps: Bella Blossoms (Stampin' Up!), sentiment from Masculine Messages (Gina K Designs)
Paper: white, tangerine tango
Ink: tangerine tango, kiwi kiss
Accessories: taffeta ribbon, Sizzix die cut

.... like a spring day.

Color Monday Challenge 65:
Shades of purple & green, white (option of an additional neutral of accent color)

I changed the colors, use dp instead of a stamped border, and stamped different flowers in the corner rather than matting them separately.
Thanks for the inspiration, Michelle!

Paper: rich razzleberry, white, Basic Grey Lemonade dp

SCS - Inspiration Challenge: Home Sweet Home... HOMES

SCS Inspiration Challenge
This week’s challenge is to make a card inspired by your home state, province, town or country. It could be where you were born, where you grew up and still call "home", or where you live now.

Michigan: the Mitten State
I think Michigan is the only state where people hold up their hand and point to where they live. LOL! I was thinking of making a mitten card, but I couldn't make myself do it. Winter needs to stay away!

Michigan: the Great Lakes State (HOMES) Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, & Superior

And a preview for Monday's CAS Challenge.... It has something to do with Michigan. Great timing! So, I'll be back with more Michigan inspired cards on Monday!

Michigan is the Great Lakes State. Besides the infamous Great Lakes, Michigan is filled with smaller lakes and water sports are very popular.

As with all of my cards today, this is a double challenge card.
StampTV's Glitter Challenge
After watching Gina's video, I see that I don't have the best tools. Looks like I needs a glue pen and colored glitter. Today I used Stickles and Studio G glitter glue. It's just not the same.

Stamps: Happy Camper (Gina K Designs)
Paper: chocolate chip, close to cocoa, SU dsp, white
Ink: black, Copic markers, certainly celery, bashful blue
Accessories: hemp, Stckles & Studio G glitter glue, sponge, handmade cloud template, dimensionals

Sketch: Card Positioning System 161

Michigan: Home of the Motor City

Stamps: Changito (Stampendous), sentiment (Gina K Designs - Tag Lines)
Paper: basic gray, basic gray dsp (SU), white
Ink: black, certainly celery, Copic markers
Accessories: brads

Sketch: Sweet Sunday Sketch 63

If you live in Michigan, you'll probably agree that Michigan's symbol should be an orange construction barrel!

Stamps: Stampin' Up!
Paper: brocade blue, only orange, brocade blue dsp, white
Ink: black, Copic markers
Accessories: Offray ribbon, Martha Stewart zig-zag border punch, CM custom cutting system, SU 1 3/4 circle punch, dimensionals

This card measures 4.25 square. I use 4.5 A Muse envelopes.
