Hi ladies,
Sorry that I've been missing for awhile. I've had a quite a few health issues. The stress I'm feeling at work is compounding things. So I've decided that during my spring break (this week), I'm going to relax and have fun. (Only a little bit of grading to end the term for report cards.) I'm putting off some medical tests until summer break. I have only one more sick day left. And well, it's not like it's all going away. LOL!
Lesson to remember #1
Right now, I'm embracing the Serenity Prayer. I'm trying to focus on the things I can change such as managing treatment for BiPolar, diet and exercise (I've lost 40 pounds in the last year), and balancing family and work. I need some peace and joy in my life. Soooooo, I'm hoping to make a few cards this week and cruising galleries. (The power needs to stay on for the cruising.) I've been missing my hobby. And my family will be getting more of my time. There are plenty of good things to think about.
Lesson to remember #2
I've had a lot of ups and downs the last couple of weeks. I'm OK right now. It's times like these that need to be taken advantage of. If you are a person suffering from depression, write the bad things down and tuck them away. If you discover that the thoughts are cycling and distracting you, remember your list/journal has it stored for you and set your mind at ease. Sounds simple, but it's very effective for some people.
For all of you who are celebrating Easter this weekend, I hope it's a happy, healthy, and blessed one for you and your family.
Hugs,
Jen
