I'm not telling how long this card took to make!

StampTV Color Challenge
-*Tina's first!*
Pink & White

I'm not telling how long this card took to make! I just couldn't make up my mind on anything. Sigh.

Stamps: Oh, Baby - Rupa Shevde
Lovely Labels - Nina Brackett (Gina K Designs)
Paper: regal rose, regal rose dsp, pretty in pink, white
Ink: rose red, regal rose
Accessories: EK Success flower punch & Bracket edger punch, SU's circle, oval, & modern label punches, Sizzix Flower & Vines die cut, ribbon, rhinestone stickers, paper piercer, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, pop-up dots (for the label and paws)
Techniques: faux stitching, paper piecing

This card measures 4.25 square. I use 4.5 A Muse envelopes. The paws are popped up for dimension. Unfortunately, I don't have the matching Nestie for this label yet (but some day!), so I carefully cut around it.

Favorites

Surprisingly, I haven't had much time in the gallery this week. Even though I'm on a short medical leave, I've been hopping to this appointment and that appointment and even squished in my son's yearly special education meeting today. Occasionally, I receive comments about how much the favorites are enjoyed. I read one like that, today, so I just had to show off the beautiful work from some beautiful people! Enjoy!

Unity's Friends with Flair

I am really loving my February KOM! It came a little later than usual, so it's kind of taken me by surprise that I missed all the sneak peeks and the big debut of the March kit on Monday. LOL! Seriously, I'm not kidding. BUt how could it be March already? KWIM?

Stamps: Unity's February KOM '10
Paper: sage shadow, really rust, white, retired dsp (SU)
Ink: sage shadow, really rust, going gray marker

I can't find my sage shadow marker!!! But if you saw the photo of my craft room during the CAS closing ceremonies, you'd understand why. *~*

Accessories: paper piercer & template (SU mat stack), sage shadow ribbon, Sizzix die cut
Technique: faux stitching

I wonder who has the blinkie, today?

A Couple of Challenges and A GREAT Deal

A Cheer for You

Poor Changito has been waiting a long time to be used on a card. I think I colored him last summer. LOL! But today's Ways To Use It challenge on SCS gave me the opportunity. The challenge: Create a card around the word "play". I used a black marker to write CHS on the megaphone.... Changito High School *~*

Stamps: Changito - Stampendous
Paper: white, real red
Ink: black, Copic markers
Accessories: ribbon, CB swiss dots EF, Nestabilities Labels #1, EK Success Bracket edger punch, pop-up dots

You will notice in the next photo that I have used the same EK Success edger punch on both cards. That was one of my great deals I stumbled onto on Wednesday after a doctor's appointment. I swear... I was only going in for tape. I can prove it.... (to hubby).... I didn't have a coupon with me! LOL! Now listen, if you look at the photos at the end of the post and read anything, you just have to promise not to pout or be mad at me *wink* LOL

Miss You ~ Double Challenge

SCS Sketch Challenge 270
Unity's FWF14

Stamps: February KOM '10 (Unity), sentiment from Folk Inspired (Unity)
Paper: pretty in pink, real red, bashful blue, white, retired SU dsp, polka-dot dp (DCWV??)
Ink: black, bashful blue, green galore, SU & Copic markers
Accessories: eyelets, taffeta ribbon, SU small oval & ticket corner punches, EK Success Bracket edger punch

Have you ever seen border punches, big punches, or die cuts selling for less than $4.00???

Well, you have now!

At my local JoAnn's, all EK Success punches were either 40% off or on clearance!! In fact, everything in this photo was 40% off or on clearance! See the small paper packs? There were a few packs that had lost parts.... not sure how that happened, but I got at least a total of a pack and a 1/2 for only $2.00! The tape was the last thing to go in my *green* JoAnn's shopping bag. LOL! I wasn't sure if I should take advantage of this opportunity so I called hubby and all was good. But I did still feel guilty. I got this treasure find for an insanely low price. And on my way home, I was thinking of all of you. Anything going on at your JoAnn's? This JoAnn's is in the middle of a strip mall across from a deserted mall and theater. I asked if they were going out of business. The answer was "no". They said they are just getting in new stuff.... that almost never happens. LOL! So only time will tell.

And I had to take a photo of my kitten, Chloe. Do you remember the little ball of fur from last summer? She is now full grown, very clingy and jealous, and a big bully to our elderly cat, Princess. But when I look at that face with the white spot, it's hard to be mad at her for too long.... usually. She's ruined quite a few things, but on Wednesday, she just wanted to know what was going on. What in the world was I doing with HER chair???

Favorites - Lots of CAS!

I was home sick today with a very sore throat, ear aches..... and some high anxiety. But I don't want to go there. I want to focus on all the beautiful creations I found in the gallery when I was feeling a little energy.

Woo hoo for Angie! What a sweet....

... and devoted Christian she is using her talent to share the message of our Savior. May God bless you on your day!

SCS Featured Stamper: Angelladcrockett
(A Christian Paper Crafts sister DT member!!)

I was sooo nervous making this card. First, I'm not great at coloring realistic flowers like these Easter Lilies from DRS Designs. Angie's gallery is full of fantastic coloring of realistic images... oh the pressure. LOL! Since my image contained an oval as part of the image, I went way back in her gallery and found a masked oval design with the silhouette flowers off-set to the side. I also decided to keep the organdy ribbon instead of using the taffeta I thought I would use. I'm so glad I did... I love it! I used some of the piercing that Angie used and in the corners I used punches instead. The last change was making it a 4.25 square card rather than a standard A2 card. I hope Angie likes it! Here's her lovely card.

Stamps: DRS Designs
Paper: so saffron, white, wild wasabi, close to cocoa
Ink: Palette burnt umber, so saffron (for sponging), close to cocoa, Copic markers
Accessories: organdy ribbon, paper piercer, SU photo corner punch

This card measures 4.25 square. I use 4.5 A Muse envelopes.
