Theresa Momber: Life is Good

I'm so honored and excited to be a guest designer this month for Theresa Momber... fabulous artist and paper crafter for Gina K. Designs. This month, Theresa's new set of stamps is "Life is Good". I love this set for the memories it brings for me. Going "up north" to my aunt and uncle's cabin for a week was a highlight of summers as a child. Trains have a special meaning for my husband as a child. His grandfather loved trains and we now have his train set displayed at Christmas time.

Theresa's second guest designer is Geri Utterbeck! You can see her designs tonight using "Life is Good" on her blog, Geri's Cards: Life is what you make it. You'll love what she has created tonight... seen on her blog and Theresa's!

"Snow is glistening.... walking in a winter wonderland." Love that song. Too bad I can't carry a tune. LOL!

My winter scene of the cabin has some "visitors"! I used close to cocoa and kraft dsp for this card as well as Copic markers for coloring. The sky is sponged in bashful blue using my handmade cloud template made using scalloped scissors. I finished it with the Martha Stewart snowflake punch and glitter, an eyelet and organdy ribbon, and rhinestone stickers on the snowflakes.

I love Geri's winter scene she posted to her blog for the blog hop on December 16.... gorgeous! (In the same post you will see 2 more creations using this set!)

I like the way this card turned out... the cranberry tart cardstock is rich and perfect! I used Copic markers to color the image and used another marker to stamp the sentiment at three different levels. GKD's cranberry tart and chocolate kiss cardstock are just lovely... I will need more soon! :) This was my first time using them and I love them! The designer paper was from my scrap collection and matched perfectly, but I don't remember the company. Accessories used: EK Success border punch, SU's vanilla taffeta ribbon, and CM's custom cutting system (I don't have Nesties, yet. So I have to make large circles the hard way! Some day I'll get those Nesties :).

For my last card, I used the images to make a summer scene at dusk since my memories at the cabin are during the summer. I used Gina K's kraft cardstock. Wow! What a difference in color from what I'm used to. It's fabulous! I used my cloud template, again. You can see the detail better by clicking on the photo for a larger picture. I used a lot of sponging and Copic markers to color the scene and then finished it with SU's kraft taffeta ribbon a cute button from Gina K's neutral button assortment.

Thank you, Theresa, for letting me play with your stamps!! :)
