Dazzled Again! - Hello There, Birdie!

My DH was at work all day and DS kept himself occupied. Yeah me! :)

My inspiration for this card came from 2 places.

This is my 4th card for the Inspiration Challenge today! I guess I love the Design Dazzle site! Here is The Birds and the Trees room.

And secondly, I thought the WishRAK sketch challenge worked great with this room. The picket fence reminds me of the foot of the bed. The sketch was taken from Fiskars. On the site, it said we were free to interpret the "tags" as similar shapes.

Wish RAK items: bashful blue gingham ribbon & bashful blue CS
Stamps: Cheep Talk (sentiment is on the scallop oval)
Paper: white, bashful blue, rose red
Ink: chocolate chip, garden green, brilliant blue, pumpkin pie
Accessories: Marvy scallop oval & flower punches, SU wide oval punch, taffeta ribbon, gingham ribbon, white gel pen, dimensionals

More Inspiration from Design Dazzle

My 2nd card for today's Inspiration Challenge: Design Dazzle. I was inspired by the Circus Nursery.

I also tried to incorporate the Mojo Madness sketch89. Once I was done, I realized that I forgot to separate the top and bottom half. oops.

Stamps: Animal Crackers
Paper: white, real red, so saffron, DSP, DP
Ink: black, so saffron marker
Accessories: Martha Stewart zig zag punch, Copic markers, gingham ribbon, small star, circle & scallop circle punches

This card measures 4.25 square. I use 4.5 A Muse envelopes.

My 3rd card for today's Inspiration challenge: Design Dazzle. I was inspired by the Safari Baby Nursery.

Paper: creamy caramel, white, chocolate chip DSP

Handmade Rainbow Sherbert DP

This week's Ways to Use It Challenge on Splitcoast:

Do you ever find yourself wanting to create a design along a certain theme but don’t have stamps or product that really captures it? The great way to get around that without running off the store is to create your own image.

Well, I discovered what to do for the Ways to Use It challenge a couple of days late.

I absolutely loved the card that Holly (TOY) made today for the Inspiration challenge. I loved the colors and layout! I had to go back and look at it again after I commented. That's when I noticed it.... The Rainbow Sherbert DP! I hadn't expected it retire. And I didn't act fast enough and missed out. So, I made my own... at least of this pattern. What do you think?

Here's Holly's adorable card.

*I used handmade paper instead of DP.
*I used a different sentiment, CD ef and ribbon.
*I used Stickles instead of pearls.
*I changed the orange candy dots to photo corner punches (to hide a boo-boo!)
*I used 2 butterflies.
Same colors and layout!!!!

Stamps: Best Wishes (Inkadinkdo), Little Pieces (Stampin' Up!)
Paper: white, gable green, tempting turquoise, only orange, Green galore
Ink: green galore, gable green, tempting turquoise, only orange
Accessories: ribbon, Stickles (diamond & orange peel), Martha Stewart butterfly punch, photo corner punches (Wish RAK), CB Swiss Dots (WishRAK)

Surf's Up!

Thank goodness for inspiration challenges. I have fallen in love with Design Dazzle! They even have a blog! This surfer has been colored since last summer... just waiting to be put on a card. It was on my table waiting to be used for a WishRAK challenge when I saw the surfer room on Design Dazzle. I needed sand! I needed a palm tree. Well, I looked but no palm tree. But I did pretend with a few leaves. :) I also used my "cloud" template made with scallop scissors. I should have sponged it a little more. I believe I received the surfer penguin from PIF. I received the CB SWiss Dots BG from Wish RAK. Here is the room that inspired all the extras.

Stamps: surfer penguin (Inky Antics), sentiment (A Muse), Itty Bitty BGs & Bodacious Bouquet (Stampin' Up),
Paper: pacific point, riding hood red, white
Ink: black, riding hood red, creamy caramel, bashful blue, old olive, summer sun (marker)
Accessories: Copic markers, ribbon, large oval & oval scallop punches, dimensionals, CB Swiss Dots

LSC223 - Summer Flowers

Limited Supply Challenge: One Layer Summer card

I'm not sure why, but blue checks always makes me think of kitchen curtains with a cool summer breeze coming in the window.

I made the leaves myself. I cut them out free-hand and then embossed them using the Scor-Pal. It doesn't show well in the photo. Each leaf has 3 embossed veins. The middle flower is stamped twice and popped up on dimensionals.

Stamps: checked flowers (DRS Designs), Absolutely Fabulous (Stampin' Up)
Paper: WW, certainly celery, SU-DP
Ink: bashful blue
Accessories: ribbon, circle punches, Scor-Pal, dimensionals
